Diamond Manufacturing Process
From rough diamond to brilliance – witness the 7-step process behind every D.Nitin & Co. masterpiece.
PLANNING & SARIN MAPPING
The rough diamond is scanned using high-tech equipment (like Sarin/Ogi) to create a 3D model, determining the optimal cut to maximize the 4Cs.
LASER SAWING / CLEAVING
A high-precision laser saw separates large rough stones into workable sections, ensuring maximum yield and minimal material loss.
BRUTING (GIRDLE SHAPING)
Bruting involves grinding diamonds or using a tool to achieve a perfectly circular girdle outline, setting the stage for the facet layout.
BLOCKING & FACETING
The cutter creates the first 17 to 25 main facets on the pavilion and crown, establishing the stone’s shape & brilliance.
FINAL POLISHING & SYMMETRY
Smaller facets are precisely polished to achieve perfection in symmetry, brilliance & fire.
ACID BOILING & CLEANING
The diamond is cleaned in a strong acid solution to remove polishing dust, oil & impurities.
